“The Adrenal Recovery Program”
The Adrenal Recovery Program (ARP) was created because we see so many people in the community experiencing signs of fatigue & burnout leading to them not ‘feeling their best’, even though they are leading relatively healthy lives.
These signs & symptoms can be connected to adrenal exhaustion and the hard thing for me as a practitioner to hear is that some people think that it is normal to not feel their best most of the time.
Not feeling your best can be normal in some phases of life although these should be short-lived and not be just accepted as a form of ‘getting older’ or because you ‘over-did it’ and then need to suffer as a payoff.
Our intention in the Adrenal Recovery Program is to assist anybody who experiences signs and symptoms of adrenal exhaustion to return to their optimal state of well-being. We want our clients to enjoy all that they love in life with great energy levels and vitality.
The Adrenal Recovery Program is for the people that like the idea of B A L A N C E in all that they do.
We CAN feel good most of the time and participate at all levels of work and play, coping effortlessly.

Who is this program for?
If you are feeling any of the signs and symptoms below, then you are likely to benefit from the Adrenal Recovery Program;
• Feeling fatigued, lethargic, or having low energy levels or energy levels that crash throughout the day
• Poor sleeping patterns, finding it difficult to get to sleep, waking up throughout the night, waking up still feeling tired or difficulty getting up in the morning
• Waking up late and still feeling tired, feeling sleepy at 3pm in the afternoon but feeling wide awake later in the evening
• Weight gain, finding it hard to lose weight or regulate your weight
• Anxiety, panic attacks, depression or flat moods
• Decreased ability to handle stress, feeling overwhelmed easily
• Foggy head, headaches, poor concentration, bad memory and decreased productivity
• Hormonal imbalances, irregular periods, PMS, and/or reduced sex drive
• Skin irritations or strange breakouts
• Increase of your symptoms with inadequate amounts of food or food frequency such as skipping meals (hypoglycaemia)
• Cravings for salty, sweet or fatty foods
• Light headed when standing up suddenly
• Slow recovery time from illness or wounds, experiencing long term illness and disease or having reoccurring viral infections
• Toxic overload from your environment (yup being hungover is included here!)
How does the Program work?
We support the adrenal glands with food as medicine, lifestyle techniques, and supplement therapy where needed, which is assessed by your practitioners. This, as well as the weekly group sessions, allows the adrenal glands and the body systems to know and feel ‘safe’ enough to shift into recovery mode.
The adrenal glands are often known as ‘the battery pack’ of the body system. ‘Recovering’ them when the body is feeling fatigued, constantly tired or exhausted is an essential part of healing. The adrenals are a part of the body’s endocrine system and are responsible for our stress responses. They produce hormones including cortisol – our “get up and go” hormone in the day time and adrenaline – our “fight or flight” hormone.
Stress hormones are constantly triggered by our western-culture lifestyle choices: the busyness of modern day life, technological demands, family and social life commitments. Then there’s illness and disease. If the body system thinks that it’s under a constant level of stress (or danger) from any of these areas, it responds by trying to save us by producing stress hormones to slow our body down to conserve energy, or in some cases speed it up to an almost out of control state to help us ‘run or fight for our lives’.
Undertaking this program with us provides much more support and commitment in helping you achieve your goals than attempting it alone. This is a holistic approach to address all areas of health: the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the body. The program is designed to make it easy and enjoyable for you to make necessary lifestyle changes to support your optimal heath and wellbeing, and also helps you to build a community of likeminded people that support each other on this journey.
Why 4 weeks?
A human blood cycle (which is how long it takes to renew every red blood cell in your body) is about 120 days/4 months. So we start you on a supported program for the first quarter/ 1 month of a new blood cycle, helping to lay the foundation for renewing your blood and overall health. The first quarter is where most of the challenges arise so we want you to feel supported and informed during this important phase.
Who are the practitioners running the program?
Grace is an accredited Naturopath and Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Health Science and an Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy. She has extensive experience working in the complementary medicine industry. Grace has a deep passion for helping her clients to restore their central nervous system and recover their energy levels and overall health by using a range of lifestyle techniques, food as medicine, nutrient and herbal therapy as well as utilising Integrative Medicine practices to help support optimal health outcomes for her clients. Naturopathy is a system or method of treating illness & disease that employs no surgery or synthetic drugs but uses food as medicine, specialised diets, herbs, nutrient therapy and counselling, where appropriate, to assist the natural healing processes of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body.
Nutrition is the science that interprets the nutrients and other substances in food in relation to maintenance, growth, reproduction, health and disease of the body. It includes food intake, absorption, assimilation, biosynthesis, catabolism (breakdown) of molecules and the excretion of waste from the body.
Naturopathic & Nutrition consults consist of a health assessment and subsequent guidance with a range of supportive naturopathic tools dependant on the individual needs of a person, to facilitate the optimal health and wellbeing of the entire body system. Grace uses her experience and insights to review each person individually, she reviews blood pathology results from a preventative health perspective and offers specific and effective support that is more than just a band aid effect. Grace recognises the innate healing intelligence of the human body system and believes that investigating what the individual body wants and needs at any given time is essential to its healing.
Joanne is a registered Kinesiologist and certified educator of Transformational Kinesiology & Energetic Anatomy. Kinesiology is a dynamic modality that uses muscle testing to tap into your unconscious thoughts and programming, identifying specific issues that may be causing physical congestion as well as patterns of negative thoughts and feelings.
Using a holistic approach the kinesiology treatment is tailored to your specific needs and addresses all aspects of your health, including the assessment of biochemistry, physical structure, emotional conditions, and the need for nutritional supplementation.
Nutrition is key to good health and your body has its own unique history of illness and ability to function. It is essential to work with your body’s preferences for healing. This is indicated through muscle testing (Kinesiology).

Grace will review your health timeline, forming a matrix of your health journey to date, taking a look at your individual body systems and how your body is functioning to identify how to get your body operating at its optimum levels. It’s important to be honest when answering these questions. The process helps Grace to discover underlying illness & disease and helps identify where your body may need extra support
- 2x Kinesiology & Energy Medicine Session with Joanne:
Joanne will use kinesiology to muscle test the body’s priority of healing to find out what system, organ or glands are most in need of support first. This will help to reveal what nutrients you may be need to help you reach optimal health. Every case is individualised and may require more than one session depending on the issues.
- Adrenal Recovery Guide Book; This is a supportive guidebook packed full of resources to help you throughout your Adrenal Recovery Program and beyond.
- Adrenal Recovery Menu & Meal plan;
The menu gives you meal options for your 4 week program and the meal planner covers a 7 day period of Adrenal Recovery friendly breakfasts, lunches and dinners as well as snack ideas to help you create your food to be your medicine.
- Adrenal Recovery Recipes & Shopping List;
You will receive some of the core recipes included in the 7-day meal plan as well as an Adrenal Recovery friendly shopping list that you can take to the shops to help you buy the recommended foods in the 4-week program. We use ‘Food as Medicine’ in the program and this means eating whole-foods and avoiding the top inflammatory food triggers.

I couldn’t believe how much energy I had after the program. At long last I felt healthy, clean, motivated, energetic, happy and balanced.
When I started the Adrenal Recovery Program I was so exhausted. I had spent the previous 6 months feeling flat, sluggish, unmotivated and overall not super happy. The weekly group sessions have helpful guest speakers and exercises and are a great way to get support from Joanne and Grace as well as the other participants. It felt a bit like Adrenaholics Anonymous - as we were all there to make positive change in our lives through supporting each other.
The tailored guidance from these two knowledgeable and gracious women is at the core of this program. I am still drinking celery juice every day and love having more energy and better sleep and a clearer head.
